Más allá de las notas: Salud mental y suicidio en el ámbito universitario

Este trabajo analiza el fenómeno de la presión académica en estudiantes universitarios de Bogotá y su impacto en la ideación suicida y el bienestar emocional. La justificación del estudio radica en la creciente preocupación por la salud mental en el ámbito académico. Los objetivos consideran explorar la percepción de la presión académica y su efecto en la salud mental. La metodología se basó en un enfoque cualitativo y el método fenomenológico, utilizando entrevistas semiestructuradas con 30 estudiantes, grupos focales y un cuadro de factores clasificados según las tipologías A y B. Los resultados revelan que el 55% de los encuestados experimenta un impacto negativo significativo en su salud mental a consecuencia de la presión académica, y el 40% ha tenido ideación suicida. Las conclusiones destacan la necesidad urgente de implementar estrategias educativas para abordar la presión académica y promover el bienestar psicológico.
